List subscription triggered campaigns are sent to new contacts who sign up to be a member of your list.
To create a triggered campaign that is automatically sent to anyone who subscribes to a public list:
- Create a new campaign.
- Choose Triggered as the campaign type.
- The next window will ask you to select either a List subscription or Date custom field triggered email. Choose
List subscription.
- Select the list you want the triggered campaign to be associated with.
- Choose how soon, after contacts are subscribed to your list, you want to send them their triggered campaign (if you want it to be sent right
away, choose 0 minutes after subscription).
Choose selected areas. You can distinguish contacts based upon the following selected areas:
- Individually inside the application: contacts who were subscribed individually inside the application by selecting to
Edit their information and subscribing them to list(s) manually.
- With Add multiple inside the application: contacts subscribed to list(s) using the Add Contacts option inside the
application.
- Via Import contacts inside the application: contacts subscribed to list(s) using the Import Contacts option inside
the application.
- With Quick add inside the application: contacts subscribed to list(s) using the Quick Add option inside the
application.
- Running an action after running a contact search inside the application: contacts subscribed to list(s) using the bulk operation
move function during the Contact Search option inside the application.
- Via the subscription centre: contacts subscribed to list(s) via the Subscription centre.
- Via the update profile link in received campaigns.
- Via a signup form: contacts subscribed to list(s) via a signup form placed on your website.
- Via questions in surveys: contacts subscribed to list(s) via a list subscription question type in a survey.
- Via the hidden Image feature: contacts subscribed to list(s) via a hidden image sign-up form.
- Via the API.
- You can add additional conditions by filling out the Advanced conditions section.
- Click Save & Next >>.
- Follow the remaining steps to set up your campaign, by adding Details and Content, and finalizing your email in Proofing and Testing.
- Once your triggered campaign is fully set up, select Activate at the top right of your screen (this button will be greyed out until
all pieces of the triggered campaign are set up).
