The addon domain function in cPanel allows you to host additional domains on your HostPapa account. Each addon domain will appear to be a separate website to your visitors.
If you wish to host an additional domain on your HostPapa account, you must first purchase the domain. You may do so through HostPapa's Customer Care Centre:
- Please visit the HostPapa Customer Care Center for your region:
- Click on “Buy New Domain.” For a smooth transaction, have your billing account login and payment information (credit card or PayPal) on hand.
- Log in and fill out the secure order form.
IMPORTANT: When setting up an addon domain where HostPapa is NOT the registrar of your domain, you must change the DNS settings for that domain to HostPapa's DNS servers first and allow the domain to propagate (typically 12-24 hours), before adding the domain in your cPanel. Please see your Login Information email for the names of the DNS servers to use (usually NS1.HOSTPAPA.COM & NS2.HOSTPAPA.COM).
We have numerous tutorial videos about how to update DNS entries through specific domain registration companies (registrars). You can find them all here:

To set up an addon domain:
Click on the Addon Domains button on your cPanel home page.
Enter the domain name to be added; it is unnecessary to type in "www" first.
If you hit TAB on your keyboard down to the password section or just click the password field, Subdomain/Ftp Username & Document Root will be filled in automatically for you.
Enter a password for the addon domain; this is a new password, not your cPanel password.
Click the "Add Domain" button.
NOTE: The three redirection settings at the bottom of this screen are not necessary unless you want your addon domain to point somewhere else, for example, to another site or server.
The web files for an addon domain are located in a sub-folder in your public_html folder, so you must upload your site to that folder in order to display your addon domain.
Email accounts for the addon domain can also be set up under the mail settings in cPanel. Go to Email Accounts and set up your email address from there. You will be able to choose the addon domain from a pull-down menu in the set-up screen.
There is a video tutorial that shows you how to do this:
