Configuring Email on the iPhone or the iPod Touch
Solution

You will be entering account settings directly on iPhone/iPod Touch.

If this is the first account you're setting up on the iPhone or the iPod Touch, tap Mail. Otherwise, from the Home screen, choose Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account.

Next you will choose your email account type. For setting up email to work with your HostPapa email service, choose Other.

Once you choose your account type, select the server type - IMAP or POP - and then enter your account information.

Fill in your information as follows:

  • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) Host Name: mail.mailaccount.com

  • User Name: test@mailaccount.com

  • Password

  • Tap Save to save the entered information

Once you have completed filling out the information, you will be taken back to the Mail Settings screen.

If you used the IMAP setting, follow the additional steps below:

If it requests the Outgoing port, input 587. Make sure that you have authentication turned ON and SSL turned OFF

You may also want your iPhone or iPod Touch to store your "Sent" and "Draft" messages on the server. You can also change this setting in the advanced settings area.

That should be it! Third-party software cannot be supported directly by HostPapa.
