Domain Registration and Transferring: FR

 

Registrations:

.FR domains are available to any individuals and organizations located in the European Union, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein. Individuals must reside within one of the qualifying countries; organizations must have their registered or main office located in a qualifying country.

  • Individual registrants located in France must provide their date of birth, city of birth and postal code of city of birth (those under 18 years of age are not permitted to register a .fr domain).
  • Individual residents located in one of the below qualifying countries, must provide only their date of birth.
  • Organizations may submit their SIREN or SIRET, Trademark or VAT Number; however, it is not mandatory. Despite not being mandatory, we strongly recommend that you provide this information as it helps the registry to validate the registration.

.FR domains are available to any individuals and organizations located in the following countries:

Åland Islands, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, French Southern Territories, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Martinique, Mayotte, New Caledonia, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Réunion, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Czech Republic, Hungary, United Kingdom, Wallis and Futuna, Cyprus.

Transfers:

Before you submit to transfer your .fr domain name to HostPapa, please do the following:

  1. Obtain the domain’s authorization code (AuthCode) from your current registrar.

When the transfer request is submitted, you will receive an email to the address you have provided HostPapa in your order, to accept or decline the domain transfer. This is where you will enter your AuthCode to verify the transfer. Once your transfer has been accepted, it can take up to seven (7) days to complete and we will notify you upon completion.
