How to reset the password for an Admin user

If an admin has forgotten their password and there isn’t another site admin that can reset it using the back end method above, you’ll need to use phpMyAdmin and edit the database.

  • Login to your control panel
  • Open phpMyAdmin
  • Select your database
  • Search for the _users table (note there’s a search box above the list of all the tables in your database; also, all tables will also have a prefix, you can ignore this)
