If you’ve launched a YouTube channel to support your website, adding a subscribe button to WordPress is a great way to build your audience. Follow these steps to add a YouTube subscribe button to your WordPress website.
Embed a YouTube Subscribe Button Using Manual Code
To configure a manual button for your website, first head to the Google Developer website.
Work through the Options box, entering your channel name or ID, desired layout, theme and other settings. Keep an eye on the Preview section of the page which will show how you button will look when embedded on your site.
Near the bottom of the page you’ll see a Code box, which includes the code to paste into a WordPress page, post or widget. In this example, we’ll create a WordPress widget.
Log into your WordPress administration dashboard and select Appearance > Widgets. Drag and drop a Custom HTML widget into your sidebar, then copy and paste the YouTube button code from the Google Developer website into the widget text box.
Save the widget and then head to your site’s front-end to see how it looks.
Embed a YouTube Subscribe Bar with a Plugin
As alternative option is to embed a subscribe button in a bar underneath every video YouTube video you embed on your site. You can do so using the YouTube Subscribe Bar plugin. Head to Plugins > Add New, then search for and install the plugin.

Now, any YouTube videos you embed on your site will include a subscribe bar, offering viewers a convenient way to subscribe to your channel.
