Domain Registration and Transferring: NL

Registrations:

.NL is an open registry; you do not have to be a resident or business operator in the Netherlands to register a .NL domain.

Transfers:

Before you submit to transfer your .NL domain name to HostPapa, please do the following:

  1. Obtain the domain’s ‘AuthCode’ code from your current registrar.

  1. Ensure that all contact information on the domain is correct.

When the transfer request is submitted, an email is sent to the Admin Email Contact for the domain, who has five days to approve or reject the request. When approving the transfer, the contact is required to enter the Transfer Authorization Code. The Transfer Authorization Code or ‘AuthCode’ can be obtained from the current registrar for the domain. If the transfer request is not approved or rejected by the losing registrar within the five day period, the registry automatically approves the transfer request. When the transfer process is complete, the expiration date is extended one year from the original expiration date.

Unlocking your domain

Sometimes, you will need to unlock your domain to start the transfer process. Find out how to unlock your domain at various domain registrars below:
