How to change your email connection settings from IP address to your domain name

If your email connection settings are based on your IP address, to avoid possible service interruptions, please change your connection settings to use your domain name.

From the list below, please click on your email client:

  • Microsoft Outlook 2016 (check out the instructions in the Manual Setup section and follow the steps to update your incoming and outgoing mail servers.)
  • Microsoft Outlook 2013 (follow the instructions in the Manual Setup section to update your incoming and outgoing mail servers.)
  • Microsoft Outlook 2016 for Mac (you will find the instructions to update your incoming and outgoing mail servers in the section called Set up POP3, IMAP, or other email accounts.)
  • Thunderbird (follow the steps (5 and 6) to update your incoming and outgoing mail servers.)
  • On Android devices (proceed with the instructions described in the article to update the incoming and outgoing mail servers.)
  • On iOS devices (choose the guide for your iOS version and follow the instructions to update the incoming and outgoing mail server settings.)
