MX records (mail exchanger records) are a type of verified DNS records that control to which email server your domain routes.
Please note: Changes in your email settings may interrupt the service.
- Go to Domains menu and click My Domains.
- Click the domain you want to manage from the domain list.
- Click Email Settings directly or select it from the Manage Domain drop-down list.
To use third-party email services like HostPapa, you can add a custom MX record for your domain by changing the Service Selection to “User (MX)”. Enter the MX record in the following format:
For example, if your domain were domain.com, the records above would show all mail sent to @domain.com to the mail server mxin.name-services.com. The Pref field is known as Priority too, and it is used for mail server prioritization in case you are adding more than one.
