Your domain might be locked to prevent you from transferring the domain registration away from DreamHost. If you want to transfer your domain from DreamHost to HostPapa, you need to unlock your domain first.
Please follow these steps:
Your panel’s Registrations page, as well as the WHOIS lookup, displays the lock status.
You will see the Locked? column with the “Yes” or “No” status at the Registrations page. When you click the status, it will change.
You can also take a look at the locked status of your domain by using the WHOIS lookup for domain registration. Check the Domain Status section of the WHOIS lookup for the domain. The following status will appear in case of locked status.
Domain Status: clientTransferProhibited https://www.icann.org/epp#clientTransferProhibited
The following status will appear if the domain is unlocked:
Domain Status: ok
Submit the transfer request from your HostPapa Dashboard -> My Domains section and we’ll take care of the rest.
